Inspiration Monday / Shoe Challenge No.47

Finally, I managed to take part in Inspiration Monday again! This week’s picture was too cute to pass, so I took a break from reading books for uni and put together the following outfit:

とうとうまたInspiration Mondayに参加しました！今週の写真が可愛くて、絶対参加したかったです。卒業論文の本をよむことを休んで、こちらのコーデーを考えだしました：

This time, I didn’t take it as literally as the last times, and took mainly the colours as inspiration. I quite like the outcome, and it’s definitely something I wouldn’t have put together without the challenge! Both the top and skirt are quite old, and I haven’t worn them in a long time, but seeing them now I’m sure they’ll see more use again in the future 🙂 The shoes I bought in Japan, also quite a long time ago – even though they don’t look like it, they are probably the most uncomfortable shoes I own. Somehow they fit perfectly when I tried them on in the shop, but now they are too tight. It seems like they magically shrunk! Has that ever happened to you? ….I’ll try having them stretched, but if that doesn’t succeed I guess I’ll have to sell them, even though I really really like the style. Here they are close up:

前回はできるだけ元に近いコーデーにしましたが、今回はただ色をインスピレーションにしたコーデーにしました。チャレンジがなければこのようなあわせにしなかったのですが、結果はかなりすきです。キャミソールもスカートも結構古いもので、長い間着ていなかったのですが、これからはまたよくつかうようになりそうです :)　靴も結構まえに日本で買いました。そういうふうに見えないと思いますが、実は私のもってる靴のなかで一番はきにくい一足です。試着したときに、サイズがぴったりだったのに、今は小さいです。不思議に小さくなったきがします。このようなことは体験したことがありますか？。。。ストレッチしてもらうつもりですが、それでもダメだったら売らなければならないと思います。こちらはクローズ・アップです：

Shoe Challenge No.46

This is my outfit from Wednesday. The shoes I bought on sale at H&M quite some time ago – I like the colour even though the shape is nothing special. Different from my usual strategy, I didn’t coordinate my outfit to my shoes – this time the starting point was the skirt – because in this picture I’m wearing my new favourite skirt. My love affair with it started some months ago when, while window-shopping in Munich,  I foolishly went into the D&G store, enticed by the gorgeous shoes in the window (bad, bad idea!) and saw the skirt. Even more foolishly, I made the mistake of trying it on, falling even more in love (note to self: Never try on too expensive things!!)….so there I was, longing for this skirt, passing by the store and looking in the window to see if it was still there, waiting for the sale and hoping my size would still be there then, and it would be at some price I could somehow justify to myself…….and then last Friday, when I was going for a drink with my friends,  we passed the D&G store on our way to the bar and finally I saw the shop assistants putting up the long awaited signs in the window. Needless to say, I was there quite early the next day, and now it’s finally mine and I have to stop myself from wearing it every day 🙂

こちらは先週の水曜日のコーデーです。靴は結構前にH&Mのセールで買いました。形はあまり特別ではないですが、カラーは好きです。普段は靴をメインにしてコーデーを考えます。今回はいつもと違った、この大好きな新しいスカートをメインにしました。このスカートは何ヶ月前にミュンヘンでウィンドーショッピングをしたときにみかけました。D&Gのウィンドーでかわいい靴をみて、店に入ってしまって（悪いアイディア！）、スカートを発見しました。そして、試着してしまって、もっと欲しくなってしまいました（高すぎの物は試着しないほうがいい！！）。。。その後、ずっとそのスカートがほしくて、毎回その店を通った時まだあるかどうかをチェックして、セールを待ちながら私のサイズが売れないように願って、セールで手が届くような値段になると願っていました。。。そして、この間の金曜日に友達とバーにいったとき、D&Gを通って、ずっと待っていたセールのサインをつける店員をみかけました。もちろん、次の日はすぐみに行きました。いまはとうとう私のものになって、毎日着たいです 🙂

Nail Art: Birthday Girl

This time I decided on an all pink manicure, but kept the decoration simple to keep it from being too much kitsch. I’ve wanted to do a ribbon for some time now, and thought it would be just right for celebrating my birthday this weekend 🙂 Lately I’ve done only half-moon styles, so I should try out something different the next time…

今回はピンクのネール・カラーにしました。子供ぽっくならないように、デコレーションをシンプルにしました。ずっとリボン・デコレーションにしてみたくて、今週末にあった誕生日にぴったりだと思いました 🙂 最近何回もハーフムーン・アートにしてましたから、今度は違うスタイルにしたいです。。。

How to:
1. Apply clear base coat.
2. Paint nails in light pink (here: brand Winmax from Daiso Japan).
3. Paint nails in sparkling pink (here: Maybelline Water Shine Diamonds No.101), sparing the half-moon shape.
4. Paint on a thin line with gold colour (here: from brand Princess Happy)around the half-moon shape using a nail art brush
5. Stick on the pink rhinestones on the ring finger nails and the thumb nails and then add pink half-pearls (here: from Daiso Japan) around the rhinestones on the thumb nails to create a ribbon shape, using clear nailcolour as “glue”.

方法:
1. クリーアのベースコートを塗る。
2. ネールの全体に薄いピンク色(ダイソーのWinmax)を塗る。
3. もとの部分を除いて、キラ・ピンク色(MaybellineのWater Shine Diamonds No.101)を塗る。
4. ネール・アート用の筆を使って、金色（Princess Happyより）で細いラインを描く。
5. クリーア・ベースコートを使って、薬指と親指のネールにピンク・キラ・ストーンを付けて、そして親指のネールに付けたキラ・ストーンにそってピンク・パール(ダイソーより)をリボンの形で付ける。

Shoe Challenge No.45

So this is me in my Dirndl, the traditional Bavarian dress. I always feel there’s not enough opportunities to wear my traditional dresses (apart from the Oktoberfest) so I decided on this one on Saturday evening, when I went to see a Bavarian theatre with my mom and friends. Despite the miserable weather (isn’t it supposed to be summer right now?!) we had a wonderful evening, as the theatre was a lot of fun!
The shoes are a lucky sale find – the last pair, my size, a fraction of the original price, irresistible! I have had these for a very long time, since I was still in high school when I bought them – I remember that so well as I decided I HAD to wear them that same day I bought them for clubbing….bad idea – in the morning the hole pattern (see below) on the shoes was imprinted on my feet, which were in a lot of pain and I had to nearly limp home….despite that not too great first memory, I do love this pair, and they actually are comfortable now and are worn quite regularly.

今回は「Dirndl」という、バイエルン州の伝統的なドレスを着ています。（オクトーバーフェスト以外）伝統ドレスを着る機会が少ないので、土曜日の夜に母と友達とバイエルン・シアターを見に行った時にこのドレスにしました。（夏なのに）天気が悪かったにもかかわらず、シアターが面白くて、楽しい夜をすごしました！
靴はセールでゲットできました：最後の一足、私のサイズ、元の値段よりすごく安くなっていて、買わずにはいられませんでした！この靴はもう長く持っています。買った時はまだ高校生でした。買った日にその靴をはいて、クラブに行ってしまいました。。。朝には穴のパターンが私の足にうつっていて、足が大変痛くなっていました。。。その楽しくないような最初のおもいでにもかかわらずこの靴は今でも大好きです。何回もはいて、今はもう痛くならないようになりました。

Nail Art: Diamonds & Pearls

Here’s my newest Nail Art! This time, I combined a light purple colour with a sparkling darker purple for a Half-Moon manicure and added different sized pearls and rhinestones.

こちらは私の新しいネール・アートです！今回は薄い紫とラメの濃い紫を合わせて、色々なサイズのパールとキラ・ストーンを付けてみました。

How to:
1. Apply clear base coat
2. Paint nails in light purple (here: Little Girl Type by MAC)
3. Paint nails in dark purple (here: No.631 by Rimmel), sparing the half-moon shape
4. Stick on clear rhinestones and half-pearls (here: from Daiso Japan) in various sizes using clear nailcolour as “glue”

方法:
1. クリーアのベースコートを塗る。
2. ネールの全体に薄い紫色(MacのLittle Girl Type)を塗る。
3. もとの部分を除いて、濃い紫色(RimmelのNo.631)を塗る。
4. クリーア・ベースコートを使って、キラ・ストーンとパール(ダイソーより)を付ける。

Shoe Challenge No.44

These shoes are not only one of my favourite pairs, but probably also the pair of shoes which has received the most compliments! I actually had seen a similar pair (same style, different colours) in Italy, which was unfortunately way too expensive, before buying this pair. After nearly forgetting about said Italian shoes, I found these while shopping with my friend M. in Taipei during a holiday in Taiwan in 2007. I actually searched for a picture of me wearing them back then, but my feet/shoes weren’t visible in any of them, so this one will have to do 🙂 I had to order my size since it was sold out in that particular store and luckily got them in time just before the end of the holiday. Since then these have been worn countless times and hopefully I will be able to wear them for many more years! Here they are up close, all golden and sparkling:

この靴は一番すきな靴の一足です。それにはいた時に一番みんなにほめられた靴です！実はこの靴を買う前に、イタリアで似たような靴（同じスタイル、違う色）を見ましたが、その靴が高すぎて買えませんでした。あのイタリアの靴をほぼ忘れた時、２００７年に友達のMさんと台北でショッピングして、この一足を発見しました。その時の写真を載せたかったのですが、靴が見えるような写真はありませんでした 。私のサイズが売り切れで他の店から取り寄せしてもらいました。ちょうど帰る前に届きました。買ってから何回もはいて、これからもまだ一杯はきたいです！こちらはキラキラ・シューズのクローズ・アップです:

After wearing them so often, the insides look a bit worn, but on the outside they are still in pretty good condition. To me, these are a perfect pair: Comfortable, gorgeous and a colour that can be worn with anything! The brand, fed international, seems to be Chinese, and you can see more of their current styles on their homepage – sadly, I haven’t found any English version, but the pictures are easy enough to find!

たくさんはいたため、中はもう少し古くなっていますが外側はまだ大丈夫です。私にとって、カンペキな靴です：はきやすくて、綺麗で、なんでも合わせられる色です！ブランドは中国のブランドみたいです。最新のスタイルはホームページで見れます。残念ながら中国語だけですが、写真はみつかりやすいです！

Shoe Challenge No.43

I’m so behind on posts – with the deadline approaching, the report-writing is becoming more and more stressful and I don’t have that much time for the challenge… so this outfit is from Wednesday last week and I wore it to uni. The shoes are from Guess, and I bought them on a holiday trip to Venice in 2008 – I just couldn’t resist the combination of bling and pink and bows and hearts! I haven’t worn them that much the last few years, but after wearing them for the challenge I think they’ll be worn more often again.  They’re even comfortable 🙂

どんどん卒業論文の締切りが近づくとチャレンジをする時間もブログを書く時間も足りません。。。このコーデーは先週の水曜日に大学に行った時に着ました。靴は２００８年のベニス旅行で買いました – きらストーン、ピンク色、リボンとハートの組み合わせは買わずにはいられませんでした！最近はあまりはかなかったのですが、今回のチャレンジではいて、また好きになりました。かなりはきやすいです 🙂

Shoe Challenge No.42

This is Sunday’s outfit – I can’t believe so many days have passed already! I’m too busy with my uni work and didn’t get to do any more shoe challenges….after going out last Saturday night with my lovely friend N. to the P1 club in Munich, I got up after just 2 1/2 hours of sleep to go with my mom and friends to another garden market, this time in the beautiful city of Bad Tölz, Bavaria.If you come to Bavaria, you should definitely go to Bad Tölz where lots of beautifully painted traditional style buildings can be seen on the main street. If you’re there, give the delicious ice cream at Grangelato (Marktstraße 18, Bad Tölz) a try! Below is a view of the river Isar, which runs through town:

こちらは日曜日のコーデーです – もうそんなに時間がたってしまいましたね！卒業論文で忙しすぎて、シューズ・チャレンジができなかった。。。土曜日の夜友達のNさんとミュンヘンのP1クラブに行って、たった2時間半寝て、日曜日に母と友達とまたガーデン・マーケットに行きました。今回のマーケットはバイエルン州のBad Tölzという綺麗な町にありました。バイエルン州に来たら、是非Bad Tölzを見に行ってください。メイン通りにそっている建物の壁は伝統的できれいな絵でデコレーションされています。同じメイン通りにあるGrangelatoと言う店 (住所：Marktstraße 18, Bad Tölz) のおいしいアイスクリームも食べてみてください！以下は町を通ってるイザール川の写真です：

What I was mostly looking forward to – despite the main focus of the market being roses – was the exotic plants! Finally I found a protea, which I had been looking for for a long time. Proteas are very seldom sold here in Germany, and I didn’t want to buy one off the internet, so I was really happy to get one – you can see me carrying it in the outfit picture! As it’s not in full bloom yet, I won’t post an extra picture and instead show you the other plant I have bought. This one is not exotic at all, but a typical plant for here, the Edelweiß. I love it’s cute, kind of fluffy flowers!

マーケットのメインがバラだったにもかかわらず、私が一番楽しみにしてたのはエキゾチックな花でした！ずっと前から探していたプロテアをとうとうみつけました。ネットで買いたくなくて、ドイツではあまりうっていないので本当に嬉しかったです：コーデー写真で持っています！まだ花が完全に開花していないので、それ以外に買った花の写真をのせます。こちらの花はドイツっぽい花で、まったくエキゾチックではないセイヨウウスユキソウです。ちょっとふわふわした花が大好きです！

Last up, a picture of my shoes: After a night of dancing I opted for a sensible and comfy, yet not boring pair of ballerinas from Zara. They have been worn a lot already and definitely needed to be saved!

最後に靴の写真です：クラブで踊って、足が疲れたのでらくな靴にしました。このZaraのバレェシューズはらくですが、つまらなくはないと思います。今までよくはいた靴で絶対に救出したかったです！

Nail Art: Bollywood

Here’s something totally not shoe-related for a change! Recently, with all the beautiful summer nail colours I’ve been getting more into nail art again. I used to do a lot more like this, but was too busy/lazy recently. Somehow, the half-moon manicure I did Sunday evening got me inspired again so on Thursday I redid them while watching TV in the evening (otherwise I always am too impatient and end up ruining it again) – this is the result. I did a graduation effect using several colours and then added rhinestones and little gold pearls for even more kitsch – somehow they remind me of Bollywood movies. What do you think?

今回は靴と関係のないテーマです！綺麗な夏のネールカラーを見て、またネールアートにはまってしまいました。昔はよくやりましたが、最近は忙しすぎました。でも日曜日のネールアートがインスピレーションになりましたので、木曜日の夜にテレビを見ながら（テレビを見ないでするといつもかわくのが待ちきれなくて、傷などがついてしまいます）また新しいデザインにしました。結果はこちらです。色々なカラーを使って、グラデーションにして、それにキラストーンと金色のパールをつけました。なんとなくBollywood映画にでてきそうだと思います。どうおもいますか？

Shoe Challenge No.41

Another one down! Saving my collection seems more and more doable! Today’s outfit is inspired by a girl’s outfit which I saw on TV recently: She had paired a khaki coloured T-Shirt with a yellow-green scarf and I totally loved the combination, so here is my version. Today’s shoes are the first pair I ever bought on Yoox. I had seen another version of these on several blogs, and HAD to have them. So the search began…original price they were too expensive, Ebay I had no luck that time and finally I found them on Yoox and waited….until sale time when I got lucky and my size was still available. Here they are:

もう一足はセーフ！全足を救出するのができそうになってきました！今日のコーデーは最近テレビで見た女性の服装がインスピレーションでした：その女性はカーキ色のTシャツを黄緑色のスカーフと合わせて、私はその合わせがとても好きでした。今日の靴は始めてYooxで買った靴です。この靴の違うバージョンを色々なブログで見て、欲しくなったしまいました。それで探し始めました。。。もとの値段が高すぎて買えなかった、Ebayでも見つけられなくて、最終的にYooxで発見しました。とうとうセールになった時に私のサイズが残って、とてもラッキーでした。
