Bally SandalsShoes: Bally
Worn with: Top by H&M, skirt by Orsay, belt by Little New York, necklace from my mom.

Even though I spent the day at home, I did manage to rescue another pair of shoes today! Even though these are just simple black sandals, they are special to me – they are shoes from my mom, which she bought a long time ago. I think they prove that a great pair of shoes never goes out of style, and that quality shoes will last for a very very long time!

As today was Mother’s Day, I of course made breakfast for my mom and I also got her a cake which we ate together in the garden this afternoon. The cake was originally just a strawberry cake, but I added some blueberries to make it more interesting.

What did you do for Mother’s Day?

Bally BootsShoes: Bally

Worn with: Cardigan by Chille AnaP, skirt by Zara, top by Laurèl, bag by Miu Miu.

This is what I wore to watch Black Swan with my mom on Saturday – such an amazing movie! I loved every second of it. If you haven’t seen it yet I recommend you watch it! So, these are another pair of black boots (I promise, I do have other kinds of shoes!) which I love nevertheless. I bought these after my Zara boots were lost after dropping them off for a heel change. They are by Bally, which I “rediscovered” after buying this pair of boots. I had always thought of the brand as rather boring BUT as I found out, that is absolutely not the case and they actually make lots of lovely shoes! Anyway, after losing my Zara boots right in the middle of winter I desperately needed a pair of black boots and so I searched in all the shoe shops I could think of, but the only pair I instantly liked were these. They are neither practical (super high heels/platform + snow/ice?!), nor were they cheap (but, at least they were on sale) but I bought them anyway and actually ended up wearing them a lot. As I found out, the platform and high heel also have some benefits: When the ground is really cold, my feet stay warm since they are separated from the ground by the thick platform – much better than lower shoes! And for such high heels, they are actually pretty comfy to walk in. If you’d like to see more from Bally, you can have a look at their online store.

Bally BootsI love the beautiful shape and the texture of the leather! Here’s a close-up of the buckles too:

Bally BootsOnly one more pair of boots to go! Is it obvious I’m desperate for winter to end?
