These boots are another one of my E-Bay purchases – I really really love E-Bay for buying shoes! They are a kind of dark silver colour (my mom said they made her think of a science fiction movie…) and the only pair of flat boots I own. I just bought them recently and this is the first time I wore them – but definitely not the last! The blazer as well as the blouse are from a thrift shop near Munich – a great place to find a good bargain! Again, I didn’t manage to take a picture before the evening, so it’s another indoors one…

Bally BootsShoes: Bally

Worn with: Cardigan by Chille AnaP, skirt by Zara, top by Laurèl, bag by Miu Miu.

This is what I wore to watch Black Swan with my mom on Saturday – such an amazing movie! I loved every second of it. If you haven’t seen it yet I recommend you watch it! So, these are another pair of black boots (I promise, I do have other kinds of shoes!) which I love nevertheless. I bought these after my Zara boots were lost after dropping them off for a heel change. They are by Bally, which I “rediscovered” after buying this pair of boots. I had always thought of the brand as rather boring BUT as I found out, that is absolutely not the case and they actually make lots of lovely shoes! Anyway, after losing my Zara boots right in the middle of winter I desperately needed a pair of black boots and so I searched in all the shoe shops I could think of, but the only pair I instantly liked were these. They are neither practical (super high heels/platform + snow/ice?!), nor were they cheap (but, at least they were on sale) but I bought them anyway and actually ended up wearing them a lot. As I found out, the platform and high heel also have some benefits: When the ground is really cold, my feet stay warm since they are separated from the ground by the thick platform – much better than lower shoes! And for such high heels, they are actually pretty comfy to walk in. If you’d like to see more from Bally, you can have a look at their online store.

Bally BootsI love the beautiful shape and the texture of the leather! Here’s a close-up of the buckles too:

Shoe Challenge No.11

Again I haven’t posted anything for some days – I’m sorry! The things happening in Japan worried me so much I wasn’t really in the mood to write about shoes or post outfits (or even think about coordinating an outfit). I’ve just been watching the news all day hoping nothing worse would happen. Now, the situation there is still not better but I decided I have to take my mind of these horrible things and so I’m back to posting (and doing Uni stuff). So, this picture is already from a week ago when I went to Munich.

Worn with: Skirt by Zara, cardigan by Zara, top by Nicole Farhi, bag by Samantha Thavasa.

These boots are my favourite boots and have a long story attached! I bought them at Zara a few years back and absolutely loved them…..but just about two months after that I brought them to Mister Minit to have the heels fixed and when I came back the next day to pick them up, they had given the shoes to somebody else!! That was the worst cobbler experience I ever had. They were of course reluctant to pay me the money for the boots and said I had to wait if that someone they gave them to would return them – so I waited and waited and waited for weeks but the shoes never came back. And in Zara, of course, my size was by then sold out. In the end, I did get the money for the shoes from Mister Minit but I had to argue a lot for it and it was a great disappointment as it was clearly their mistake! Also, how could that have happened when they have the numbers attached to the shoes? I haven’t left shoes there for fixing since.

So….how is it I am wearing the shoes now? Well, as I loved them so much, I spent the next months looking for them on Ebay and after a while I finally found them nearly unused in my size and have worn them about a million times since then. Now they’re already quite old and I am dreading the day I have to look for a replacement. Should have bought two pairs!

Pool Side BootsShoes: Pool Side

Worn with: Skirt by Zara, top by H&M, cardigan by Repeat, bag by Miu Miu.

Today I did stuff for university and in the evening me and my BF went to a goodbye dinner with his family in Shinjuku. Only three more days in Japan! It was freakishly warm today (20°C!!) and these boots were actually far too hot for this weather! But I had to save them before I go back, and my plan to wear them yesterday got ruined by the rain – light coloured suede and rain is just impossible! At least it was cold again in the evening… Sorry for the lack in outside pictures, I’m just too busy packing and doing last preparations!

The boots I wore today are by the Japanese brand Pool Side. I like that they can be worn in so many different ways! Today I wore them as overknee boots (middle picture). Also, they are super comfortable and the fur keeps my legs really warm 🙂 Which one do you like best?

Today I’ve only got an indoors picture because all I did was go to the library for research on my graduation thesis, so there was no nice background to take an outside picture. These boots are comfortable to walk in, but I’m never quite sure what to wear them with. So I just went with a simple outfit today….do you have any suggestions how to wear these?

I’ve just realised I’ve only posted black shoes up to now, definitely have to change that. In winter I always tend to pick the black ones even though a brighter colour would be a good antidote to the grey weather.

I did get another of Starbucks great cherry blossom season specials, though. This cake tasted really good, light and not too sweet 🙂 I’m happy I could try it before I leave.

I also got a great book on decorating roll cakes. When I get back to Germany I want to try it out ASAP. I wonder if it will be as easy as it looks though! If you’re interested in the book, it’s available on Amazon.

Shoes: G&I

Worn with: Dress by H&M, cardigan by Chille AnaP, belt by Little New York, bag by Miu Miu.

Finally the 14th of February – the starting date of the Shoe Challenge – has arrived. I’ve been looking forward to this so much! As today was Valentine’s Day, me and my BF went for a nice dinner at an Indian restaurant and then went to watch the movie RED. As we had really bad weather with rain and snow here today I decided on wearing one of my favourite pair of booties instead of my more Valentine-like suede wedges. They are from the brand G&I and actually belonged to my mom before I stole borrowed them from her 🙂 Unfortunately the inside pictures all turned out a little blurry as I took them in the evening with no natural light…

Here’s a close-up of the shoes:

I love the slouchy top and the interesting overall shape of these booties – also, they’re really comfortable! G&I shoes are all handmade in Italy and they have lots of adorable styles. If you’d like to know more about the brand you can visit their homepage, which unfortunately is only available in German.
